Kalpataru Projects International won new orders worth roughly ₹2,025 crore across power transmission, buildings, and oil and gas, lifting its FY27 order intake to ₹13,219 crore, nearly half of the ₹30,000-crore target it set in May.
The New Order Wins
Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) told exchanges on Thursday that it had secured new orders and letters of award worth approximately ₹2,025 crore. The wins span three of its core business lines: power transmission and distribution (T&D), buildings and factories (B&F), and oil and gas. The company said the orders were won across both its Indian and international markets, in the normal course of business.
Managing Director and CEO Manish Mohnot called the diversified spread of wins a reflection of the company's technical capabilities and client confidence in its execution. "We are pleased with these new order wins in our T&D, B&F, and Oil & Gas businesses," he said.
Where This Leaves The FY27 Target
With the fresh wins added in, KPIL's order intake for the current financial year now stands at ₹13,219 crore. That is close to half of the ₹30,000-crore FY27 order-inflow target the company set in May, alongside plans to expand into newer areas such as solar and nuclear EPC work.
KPIL is also L1, meaning it is the lowest and provisionally favoured bidder, on orders worth more than ₹12,000 crore that have not yet been formally awarded. If even a portion of that L1 pipeline converts into confirmed orders over the coming months, it would push the company meaningfully closer to its annual target well ahead of the financial year's end.
For context, KPIL's order book stood at ₹65,457 crore at the end of FY26, while its order inflows for that full year totalled ₹26,400 crore.
| Metric | Figure |
| Latest order wins | ₹2,025 crore |
| FY27 order intake so far | ₹13,219 crore |
| FY27 order-inflow target | ₹30,000 crore |
| L1 pipeline (not yet awarded) | Over ₹12,000 crore |
| FY26 closing order book | ₹65,457 crore |
| FY26 full-year order inflow | ₹26,400 crore |
The Financial Backdrop
KPIL's order momentum comes against a backdrop of improving financial performance. The company reported consolidated revenue of ₹27,143 crore in FY26, up from ₹22,316 crore a year earlier. Consolidated profit for the year stood at ₹1,031 crore, nearly double the ₹567 crore reported in FY25.
KPIL currently has more than 250 projects under execution across over 30 countries, spanning power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, water, railways, oil and gas infrastructure, urban mobility, highways and airports.

Why It Matters
Order-inflow announcements of this kind are a routine but closely tracked signal for EPC and infrastructure companies, since they feed directly into future revenue visibility. For KPIL specifically, the steady run of wins across three separate verticals, rather than a single large contract, suggests the company's order pipeline is broad-based rather than dependent on one segment or geography. Investors and analysts tracking the stock will likely watch whether the ₹12,000-crore L1 pipeline converts on schedule, since that conversion rate will largely determine whether the ambitious ₹30,000-crore FY27 target is met.
